# Documents & knowledge

Atiende classifies documents, extracts defined fields and flags what needs review. Validated data moves into the agreed workflow with the source file available for verification.

## The file arrives. Its data reaches the right workflow.

### 1. Identify the document and its record

Receive files from agreed channels or repositories. Identify the type, the client or case they belong to and the fields needed by the process. Documents without a clear association remain pending review.

### 2. Extract the value and keep its source

Extract defined fields and check format and consistency. Ambiguous amounts, unreadable pages or missing fields are flagged alongside the document for a person to review before use.

### 3. Send the data to the next step

Add validated fields to the record in the enabled system. Assemble the file and check the documents required to proceed. If an item is missing, the owner receives the specific requirement and reference.

Compatibility is validated using real samples. Low-quality scans, complex tables or protected files may need preparation or additional review.

### Does a summary replace reading the original?

A summary supports orientation and preparation. Important decisions should review the source and any conditions that may have been omitted in summarization.

### Who can query the documents?

Permissions are defined before information retrieval. Access to the assistant must not equal unrestricted access to the entire document repository.
